Terms - BBA's school year is divided into trimesters

• Trimester 1 - Aug. 12 to Oct. 24
  • Fall Break - Oct. 25 to Nov. 1
• Trimester 2 - Nov. 3 to Feb. 13
  
  • Trimester Break - Feb. 14-23
• Trimester 3 - February 24 - May 22
  • Spring Break - March 15-23

Last Day of School
Thursday, May 22, 2025 is the last day of school.

Save The Dates - BBA NIGHT!
BBA Night is where students showcase all of their work for the trimester! It's required unless the student makes alternate arrangements to present their work. 

• Oct. 23 - BBA Night - Trimester 1 
• Dec. 18 - Electives Night 
• Feb. 12 - BBA Night - Trimester 2 
• May 21 - BBA Night - Trimester 3 

Family-Teacher Conferences 
Investing families in their students' goals, progress, and what they can do to help at home is one of our top priorities! The student is expected to attend the conference and present their portfolio of work to their family. 

• Sept. 16 (full day) and Wed. 9/18 from 1-5p.m.
• Jan. 27 (full day) and Wed. 1/29 from 1-5p.m. 
• April 21 (full day) and Wed. 2/23 from 1-5p.m.

Testing & Exams

Battle Born Academy conducts the following tests at the dates/times listed for each. For information, questions, or to opt your child out of any of the state/school required testing, please email [email protected] at least 48 hours before the test. 

​Kindergarten Testing - students are tested individually

• Monday, August 5 from 4-6p.m. at Kinder Open House
• Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7 from 9-3p.m.

MAP Testing K-8 - Fall 

• ELA - Monday, August 19 from 9-11:30a.m.
• Math - Tuesday, August 20 from 9-11:30a.m. 
• Makeups - August 19-23 

MAP Testing K-8 - Winter 

• ELA - Monday, December 2 from 9-11:30a.m.
• Math - Tuesday, December 3 from 9-11:30a.m. 
• Makeups - December 2-6

MAP Testing K-8 - Spring

• ELA - Monday, May 5 from 9-11:30a.m.
• Math - Tuesday, May 6 from 9-11:30a.m. 
• Makeups - May 5-9

WIDA Testing (English Language Learners) 

• Kindergarten Screener - August 8-9 (individual - times vary)
• 1-8 Grades Screener - August 15-16 from 9-11:30 and 1:00-3:00
• Kindergarten WIDA Access - January 13 to February 13 (individual - times vary) 
• 1-8 WIDA Access 
  • Speaking & Listening - Monday, February 10 & Tuesday, February 11 from 9:00-11:30 
  • Reading & Writing - Tuesday, February 25 from 9:00-11:30 and 1:00-3:00

SBAC Testing - Grades 3-8

• ELA CAT - Thursday, April 24 from 9:00-11:30 with afternoon continuation
• ELA Performance - Friday, April 25 from 9:00-11:30 with afternoon continuation
• Science (Grades 5 & 8 only) - Tuesday, April 29 from 9:00-11:30 with afternoon continuation
